Book Review: Ineligible by Bijaya Kumar Mishra

About the Book:

Ineligible is a love story written by the author Bijaya Kumar Mishra. It is the story of Saahil and Varsha who work together in order to make ends meet and finally get married. Saahil, who is the main character of the story is faced by a number of bets by Varsha’s brother Mr. Dev which he is required to win in order to marry Varsha. Saahil works hard and finally fulfills all the requirements put forward by Mr. Dev and the story finally has a happy ending with Saahil and Varsha getting married. There are also quite a few characters who remain important to the story and help Saahil and Varsha in achieving their goals.

Review:

I received this book as a review copy and I was quite sceptical that whether I would like the story or not since I’m someone who is not at all into reading love stories. The book seemed to be the written form of a typical Bollywood romance and was quite unrealistic. The character building was also not on point and the characters seemed to be really immature. It was like every love story ever written with the couple being madly in love and finally having a happy ending. It is something which never interests me and I find it to be really cringy. The only thing which I liked about the book was that the book is written in a very good and easy language which makes it a really helpful book for people who are new to reading books. The scenarios have also been described very intricately and the details make it easier for the reader to imagine the story taking place. The story was not that good which makes the book really weak.

To read or not to read:

If you are someone who is totally into Bollywood romance, then you would definitely enjoy this book otherwise this book is not for you. Also, if you are someone who is looking for a book to read in order to enhance your language skills then this book might be of great help to you.
